ABOUT THE ARTIST
Metro Expo is an up and coming artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2015 with his album ‘Metro Expo, Vol. 1’. Although Metro Expo receives creative inspiration from a number of styles, the rising artist combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique and authentic sound.
To date, Metro Expo has two albums in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘The Mountain’, ‘Cheesy Tunes at the Mall’, ‘Anhedonia’, and ‘Merry-go-Round’. The album consists of ten tracks and lasts arounds forty-four minutes. ‘Metro Expo 2’ tells the story of a character called Ee12563; a spy from a distant part of the galaxy who is teleported to a planet in the middle of the desert. With each track telling the creative story of Ee12563’s endeavours as he experiences a variety of scenes through the lens of his condition known as Anhedonia, this album will not only captivate you musically, but also draw you into the intricately thought out adventure.
Although the album is technically grouped under one genre classification, each track delivers a variety of melodic elements that showcase Metro Expo’s compositional ability; from the stylistic vocal color and dynamic diversity created by the contrasting acoustic guitar and powerful electric guitar of ‘The Mountain’, the upbeat rhythmic percussion and impressive melodic progression of the brass section that is perfectly supported by a foundational bass line in ‘Anhedonia’, the eclectic organ instrumental break that somehow manages to capture the essence of the storyline whilst also showing Metro Expo’s compositional talent in ‘Homeland Rock’, to the seamlessly synchronised backing vocal layers that add a depth and richness to the memorable melodic hook of ‘The Brewerman’.
