ABOUT THE ARTIST
Originally from San Francisco, the Brooklyn based singer-songwriter Amorelle released her first album in April of 2020. With a wide vocal range and a natural talent for songwriting and production, Amorelle is the sole writer for all of the tracks on her Debut album ‘Melody’. In addition to her lyrical gifts, Amorelle produces most of her beats independently, a rare talent for a singer-songwriter.
Inspired by hip-hop and RnB, Amorelle combines a foundational strong vocal line with her own creative instrumentation to produce a sound that is unique and personal to her interpretation. Choosing to incorporate subject matter that includes existentialism, spirituality and love, Amorelle isn’t afraid to add lyrical depth to her tracks as a means of expressing her creative originality.

The debut album ‘Melody’, by Amorelle is OUT NOW and available to stream on all major platforms! Coming in at a clean twenty-nine minutes of listening time, this album contains nine tracks: How You Want It (Intro), Waiting by the Phone, The Hunt, Missing the Everyday, Wild Card (Intro), Melody, Closer, Baby, Journey.
‘How You Want It (Intro)’ utilises layered vocals combined with sporadic instrumentation that is held by a rhythmic percussive line that is definitely a stand out feature on this track. ‘Waiting by the Phone’ is a slower, more emotive song that utilises a sub-bass combined with various instrumentation that compliments the duel vocal line that is the prominent feature. ‘The Hunt’ has a completely unique style with the combination of a simple, yet creatively panned beat that accompanies multiple vocal lines that systematically synchronise throughout the track.
‘Missing the Everyday’ uses a dreamy synth that flows alongside electric piano and a repeating percussive line, creating a track that beautifully accompanies Amorelle’s emotive vocal color. ‘Wild Card (Intro)’ is one of the most unconventional songs on ‘Melody’ with its utilisation of vocal effects coupled with string instrumentation and melodies that appear to form dissonance yet work perfectly for the style of this creative composition.
‘Melody’, the title track, implements a gentle acoustic guitar section that rhythmically carries the melody of the song whilst also maintaining a subtlety, allowing for Amorelle’s vocals to take centre stage. ‘Closer’ utilises a funk electric riff that when combined with claps and layered vocals, makes for an excellent RnB style track.
‘Baby’ combines a faint electric guitar line with electric piano and a cymbal based percussive line creating an amalgamated sound that sits underneath the main vocal. ‘Journey’ is the final track on the album and uses a stylistic beat that is combined with synth and a gentle electric piano to provide a platform for Amorelle to give a strong vocal performance with emotive yet powerful vocal color.
