ABOUT THE ARTIST
A-Ram, also known as Anthony Ramos, is originally from Philadelphia and is of Puerto Rican descent. In addition to his career as an artist, A-Ram is also a volunteer youth worker and mentor who serves in communal projects, juvenile detention centres, youth mentoring programs, and in his local church.
With the goal and intention of inspiring “individuals with his life experience and the Gospel”, A-Ram coupled his passion of “communicating the Gospel and serving his community” by actively pursuing both vocational and educational opportunities to equip him with the necessary skills needed to help the most amount of people in need. His academic/vocational pursuits have provided A-Ram with a Bachelors of Social Work, a Masters of Divinity, as well as experience in Faith Based CBOs and Nonprofit organisations in Philadelphia.

A-Ram’s discography dates all the way back to 2014 with his single ‘Welcome’. Since then, A-Ram dedicated himself to achieving his Masters and settling down with his wife and children. Now that he has succeeded in gaining academic credentials and found stability with a healthy home life, A-Ram has committed himself to producing new music.
Since the beginning of 2020, he has released three singles: ‘Light of Day’, ‘Take Me There’ and ‘Snorlax’. His most recent single, prior to ‘Snorlax’, has amassed almost ten thousand streams on Spotify. A-Ram also released his track ‘Queen’ exclusively on SoundCloud an Youtube, gathering over ten thousand streams and resulting in A-Ram winning the talent search competition: The Holy Inferno - Holy Hip Hop Worldwide Talent Search. If these statistics and achievements are anything to go by, A-Ram’s newly found compositional drive has already begun to build momentum for his upcoming work.

Our featured single, ‘Snorlax’ by A-Ram, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts three minutes and thirty three seconds and sits at a steady 144bpm. Commencing with a thirteen second instrumental introduction, systematic vocalisations build anticipation for the initial drop into the verse.
A foundational bass amalgamates with a panned percussive beat that drives the rhythmic flow of the single. An additional vocal line is added for the chorus that sits subtly in the mix. A-Ram’s vocal color is controlled and effortless whilst maintaining a sense of intensity that is expressed through his powerful tone.
