ABOUT THE ARTIST

Arhkota, also known as Argel Cota, is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene two months ago. The Ensenada born musician has developed quite the reputation in the music industry with more than seventy projects under his belt as a session drummer for studio recordings and live shows. Although he receives creative inspiration from a number of genres, Arhkota combines a variety of elements to form his unique style.

To date, Arhkota has two releases in his SoundCloud discography: ‘Arhkota "Melancholic Streets and Heartbeats" FULL ALBUM’ and ‘Childs - Elegía Crepuscular (Feat: Arhkota)’. With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Arhkota is already developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured album, ‘Dreamy Hamilton’ by Arhkota, is to be released on the 7th of May! The album consists of eight tracks and lasts around forty minutes.

The album was produced entirely by Arhkota, mastered in Reso Mastering, and mixed by Joshia Mazzaschi (the cave), Ruben Tamayo (Facsimile Sound), Alex Bajos (Stereo-Type Recordings), Victor Salinas and Dream Comet in Los Angeles, California. ‘Dreamy Hamilton’, which features guest singer Lubna Maher, will be released by the avant-garde record label Static Discos and The Orchard Music.

Although the album is technically grouped under one genre classification, each track delivers a diverse range of compositional elements that showcase Arhkota’s songwriting talent; from the stylistically effected keys, rhythmic percussion and impressive harmonised vocal layers of ‘IN MY HEAD’, the ominous strings that combine with the foundational bass and atmospheric percussion to provide the perfect platform for the soft vocal of ‘DREAMY HAMILTON’, to the steady beat, melodic bass-line and dynamic diversity delivered by the multiple vocal performances of ‘VICTORIA’.
