ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bludgers is well established band who burst onto the music scene in 1994. The band is comprised of five members: Jon Pheloung, Paul Colussi, Andy Leach, Craig Walls, and Sean Fogarty. Bludgers’ name comes from the New Zealand/Australian word for moochers. The band initially formed in Champaign, Illinois and have toured Midwest, East Coast and Southern clubs in support of artists such as Uncle Tupelo, The Bottle Rockets, Blue Mountain, and The Wonsers. Although they receive creative inspiration from a number of styles, Bludgers combine a variety of compositional elements to form their unique sound.
To date, Bludgers have four albums and six singles/EPs in their online discography. Some of their most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Dirty Laundry’, ‘More Things You Don’t Need’, and ‘Full Steam Behind’. With more than one thousand eight hundred regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Bludgers have developed a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Although the EP is technically grouped under one genre classification, each track delivers a diverse range of compositional elements that showcase Bludgers’ songwriting talent; from the upbeat percussion, rhythmic guitar progression and foundational bass that provide the perfect platform for the emotive color of ‘Dirty Laundry’, the catchy hook that features a subtle backing vocal harmony which adds a depth to the overall sound without detracting from the main melody of ‘Saint Monday’, to the melodic electric guitar riff, stylistic vocal delay and authentic lyricism of ‘More Things You Don’t Need’.
