Flame of Life - 'Fortress'
Flame of Life’s track ‘Fortress’ is out now and available to stream on SoundCloud.
ABOUT THE BAND
Flame of Life were founded back in 2015 when guitarist ‘The Bottle’ and vocalist ‘Fazer’ came together in Belarus. Bassist ‘Dead Flower’, who previously lived in a local cemetery, joined the band and moved into the Flame of Life studio. Lead vocalist ‘DJ Arxonix’ played in Latvian clubs prior to lead vocalist ‘Fazer’ asking him to join after appreciating his music style.
The last addition to the band came in 2019 when anarchist and punk-rock fan ‘The Cowboy’ stepped in as Flame of Life’s new drummer. Up until this point, the four piece did not have a drummer, making ‘The Cowboy’ a welcomed addition to aid in the production of their new album. Bands that have had an influence on Flame of Life include Deftones, Korn, Linkin Park, Adema, LEVEL, Sevendust, Simon Says, Staind, Godsmack and Pearl Jam.
FEATURED RELEASE
Our featured track ‘Fortress’ is a 2:10 SoundCloud release from September of 2019. The style of the track is very unique. After the release of the band’s first EP, Flame of Life wanted to become more experimental with their genre classification and stylistic approach to song-writing. Initially categorised as Alternative Rock, the band decided to create their own genre self-titled ‘lazer’.
We asked the band what their main method was for developing their sound and they had this to say:
“We used the synth guitars to get that specific sound. We call it ‘lazer’. It’s our signature.”
Described as being similar to industrial and nu-metal yet uniquely original in its own right, our featured track ‘Fortress’ utilises this stylistic technique to create an unusual sound that clearly represents the band’s bold creativity as they develop their own form of genre.
You can listen to ‘Fortress’ on the band’s official SoundCloud along with four additional tracks: ‘Accumulator’, ‘You Like It Hard’, ‘Clash’ and ‘Red Sunset’. Make sure you follow Flame of Life on all of their social media and streaming platforms to keep up to date with their upcoming releases.
