ABOUT THE ARTIST
Güz Erdem is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2020. The established songwriter has always had a natural affinity for composition:
“I was always fond of the magical essence music provided.”
Güz Erdem’s music career dates back to when he first began playing the flute; acting as a catalyst for him to learn bass. Even though Güz considers bass to be his main instrument, the multi-instrumentalist continued to hone his craft in a variety of different musical forms to give him the broad base needed to form his compositions.
Güz Erdem began professionally producing his music in January of 2020 and has continued to improve and refine his sound since then. Although he receives inspiration from a number of styles, Güz Erdem combines a variety of elements to form his original sound. Whilst many musicians in today’s world make use of digital instrumentation, Güz chooses to play all of his instruments acoustically with the exception of the synth.
“I tend not to use loops in my recordings, as for me, originality has great importance.”
To date, Güz Erdem has thirteen singles/EPs in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘You Are Your Own Light, Pt. 2’, amassing sixty-one thousand five hundred streams, ‘Ascendance’, gathering over thirty-one thousand nine hundred streams, and ‘Transcendence’, with over twenty-six thousand five hundred streams. With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Güz Erdem has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans that continues to build with each new release.

‘Beyond The Stars’ commences with a thirty-four second introductory section that features ethereal instrumental layers that set the tone for the piece; adding a sense of anticipation for how the track will evolve. The percussion kicks in at the 0:35 mark and takes control of the rhythmic intensity. The main vocal has a soft and emotive color that perfectly compliments the feel of the instrumentation.
