ABOUT THE ARTIST
Isaiah Mclaughlin is an up and coming artist who burst onto the scene back in 2019 with his debut single ‘Venom’. The rising singer/songwriter’s style has been described as “alternative pop”, yet Isaiah Mclaughlin’s authentic and creative compositional talent makes each of his releases unique in their own right. Writing, performing, producing and engineering all of his own music, Isaiah Mclaughlin is very much the definition of a multi-talented independent artist.
To date, Isaiah Mclaughlin has four releases in his online discography; singles ‘Venom’ (2019) and ‘Cannibal’ (2019), and two EPs: ‘Dreams’ (2020) and ‘Revolution’ (2020). Some of his most successful tracks include the likes of ‘Will the Sun Ever Shine’, amassing almost fifteen thousand streams, ‘Will You Still Be There’, gathering almost ten thousand streams, and ‘Tori’, with over five thousand streams on Spotify alone. ‘Cast U Away’ lasts three minutes and forty-one seconds and sits in at around 130bpm. The eclectic instrumental arrangement creates moments of intentional dissonance with the main vocal; adding to the ominous tone of the melodic flow. The steady percussion drives the rhythmic intensity of the track whilst also creating a platform for the plethora of instrumental layers to build upon. ‘Will You Still Be There?’ lasts four minutes and eleven seconds and sits at a smooth 73bpm. Isaiah’s vocal takes the prominent position in the mix, with his ambient falsetto notes resonating with the smooth flow of the instrumental accompaniment.
