ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jaap Stamina is an up and coming artist who burst onto the online music scene roughly eight months ago. The thirty year old artist has always had an interest in composition; originally a music student, Jaap began making original music between 2006 and 2008. After meeting his now wife whilst at college, Jaap Stamina went on to raise a family and stepped away from music to focus on familial life. The recent lockdown, enforced as a result of the global pandemic, allowed Jaap the opportunity to begin composing once again.
Although the Kent (UK) based artist has received creative inspiration from a wide range of genres and artists such as Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, Genesis, ATB, Gigi D'agustino, Dario G, Pete Tong and Pendulum; Jaap Stamina amalgamates a variety of stylistic elements to produce his unique sound.
To date, Jaap Stamina has seven tracks available in his SoundCloud discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Tea’, amassing almost two thousand nine hundred plays, and ‘Power (Dub Mix)’ gathering one thousand three hundred plays. With numbers like that on SoundCloud alone, there is no denying the fact that Jaap Stamina has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans who will definitely want to hear his upcoming EP.

Our featured EP, ‘Power’ by Jaap Stamina, is to be released on the 18th of December and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! For this project, Jaap Stamina teamed up with Sparki Dee; a drum and bass producer who founded CT12 Productions. The EP consists of five tracks:
‘Power (Dub Mix)’, ‘Tea’, ‘Feel The Music (ft Danny Dyer)’, ‘Reflection’ and ‘Power’.
Although the EP is technically grouped under one genre classification, each track delivers a diverse range of creative compositional elements that showcase Jaap Stamina’s songwriting talent; from the upbeat melodic vibe and creatively panned synth layers of ‘Power (Dub Mix)’, the eclectic percussive beat, catchy main riff, and stylistic implementation of vocals in ‘Tea’, the atmospheric production and multiple melodic transitions that deliver impressive dynamic diversification in ‘Feel The Music (ft Danny Dyer)’, the ominously panned instrumental layering that amalgamates to form a trance-like immersive experience in ‘Reflection’, to the foundational beat that drives the rhythmic intensity of the powerful instrumentation, seamlessly synchronising to create an epic progression in ‘Power’.
