ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kaleidanoyse, also known as Aureus Nova Solis, is an up and coming artist whose first release: ‘Kaleidanoyse I’, dropped back in 2016. Receiving creative inspiration from genres that include dance, trap, classical, jazz and ambient, Kaleidanoyse combines various stylistic elements to form his unique and original sound.
Each of his albums consist of seven tracks and have been released as a series. Similarly, Kaleidanoyse systematically releases stand-alone singles every final quarter of the year since 2018, with each single acting as “remixes/b-sides for the most recent album”. In the case of our featured release, ‘Pasttime(s)’ is a b-side that was inspired by revisiting Kaleidanoyse V.
To date, Kaleidanoyse has five albums and five singles in his online discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Fading Barrier’, ‘Rising With the Tide’, ‘Cruiseline’, and ‘Into the Lush’.

Our featured single, ‘Pasttime(s)’ by Kaleidanoyse, is out and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts four minutes and twenty-four seconds and sits in at around 100bpm.
The track commences with an eighteen second introduction that features a creatively panned chime sample that is met with a steady percussive beat at the nine second mark. The initial melodic hook kicks in at 0:19 and implements a very subtle delay that is atmospherically reverberated into the mix. An additional percussive layer is added at 0:38; resultantly driving the rhythmic intensity of the instrumental flow.
Once the beat drops out, an ambient/phased synth is dropped into the mix to provide just the right amount of dynamic diversification. The spacey melodic vibe takes a partial turn at the 3:31 mark when a powerful bass line is filtered in with a gradual crescendo before almost immediately beginning to fade; forming a seamless outro for the track.
