ABOUT THE ARTIST

Komyoun is an up and coming producer who is set to release ‘The Process’ next month. Although Komyoun appears to be bursting onto the music scene just this year, years of hard work playing at everything from big festivals to grungy warehouse parties and small venues in his hometown of Sydney, have honed Komyoun’s creative craft. Having went through periods of success in the past, Komyoun attributes his new found passion for original music production to an experience in a remote part of Australia; Komyoun performed to two hundred people who were captivated by every minute of his performance.

After receiving such a positive response, Komyoun created his new artist name and embraced an “open-ended philosophy” that would lead him to only write music that was “significant” to him. Komyoun’s main desire is to, “rediscover the communal nature of the celebration of music [and] to share it with unbridled humility, generosity and openness”.

Our featured single, ‘The Process’ by Komyoun, is to be released on the twentieth of October and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts three minutes and twenty-two seconds and sits at 105bpm.

The track commences with an eighteen second introductory section that combines a powerful synth layer, with subtle percussion that forms a gradual crescendo; setting the melodic tone for the proceeding drop. The main percussive beat kicks in at the 0:19 mark and resultantly drives the rhythmic intensity of the instrumentation. The main beat drops out almost two minutes in, providing just the right amount of dynamic diversity, before a second build from 1:50 to 2:18 drives the track into the final push.
