ABOUT THE ARTIST
Max Feinstein is a New Jersey-based musician and songwriter who came onto the streaming scene in 2019 and has dedicated his career to promoting Hemophilia awareness. Max Feinstein has five singles in his Spotify discography. Some of his most popular tracks include the likes of ‘Spratz’, ‘All at Once’ and ‘Annie’s Gone’. Having “strayed far from the Bleeding Disorders Community”, Max opened up to New Jersey Journalist Jim Testa in the fall of 2019 about his experiences with the rare bleeding disorder Hemophilia and how it relates to his music.
The article that was produced immediately brought Max Feinstein back into the Community; leading him to become a spokesman who raises money, lobbies for legislative change, and creates musical programming for the Bleeding Disorders Community.
In addition to all of his work within the Bleeding Disorders Community, Max also took advantage of the COVID-19 lockdown to repair his right elbow which was severely damaged by Hemophilia. During this time, Max Feinstein started writing about his life and how he dealt with his condition for the first time. His upcoming single, ‘Dear Anxious’ is the result of that writing and is to be released on the 27th of August.

‘Dear Anxious’ lasts just over three minutes and sits in at around 94bpm. Having always had a natural love for Alternative Rock from the 90s/00s, Max composed this single as a celebration to one of his most influential genres. The track commences with a twenty-three second intro that sets the tone for the verse. Max’s vocal color is emotive and stylistic; flowing seamlessly with the smooth vibe of the instrumentation.
“The song is directed inward, encouraging me to rise to the occasion as a member of my community while reminding me that people are looking to me now as someone with things to say and promises to keep. I’m perfectly capable of keeping those promises. This is my calling and I am reminded to be open to that calling so that I can be rewarded for being vulnerable and earnest as I give of myself on behalf of my community.”
The atmospheric guitar layers amalgamate with the rhythmic percussion to provide the perfect platform for the impressive vocal line. The use of subtle vocal reverb adds a depth to the overall sound without detracting from the lyrical prominence. An ethereal guitar solo from around 1:47 to 2:06 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that this single is captivating from start to finish.
