ABOUT THE ARTIST
MelodicTae is an up and coming R&B/Hip-Hop artist who burst onto the music scene this year with his debut single ‘Come Through’. Although the South Central Los Angeles based artist receives creative inspiration from the likes of Chris Brown and Roddy Rich, MelodicTae combines a variety of stylistic elements to form his unique sound that, “expresses his feelings of love and affection”.
Although ‘Come Through’ is his first release under the independent record label Gen Money Music Group, MelodicTae received his initial notoriety from the single ‘Ride the Wav (feat. Purp)’. After the success of that track, MelodicTae went onto release three singles, two features and one five track EP. One song in particular, ‘Greenlight’, from his ‘Intro to Tae’ EP, received a plethora of positive attention from local artists who wanted to collaborate.
With over two thousand followers on Instagram alone, it’s fair to say that MelodicTae is developing a dedicated fan base who will definitely want to hear his latest single release.

Our featured single, ‘Come Through’ by MelodicTae, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The single lasts three minutes and twenty-three seconds and sits in at around 68bpm. The track commences with a thirteen second instrumental introduction that features ambient synth swells and a female vocal at the 0:12 mark; setting the melodic tone for the proceeding verse whilst also building anticipation for the instigation of the main beat.
MelodicTae’s vocal color is clean and stylistic; seamlessly synchronising with the smooth flow of the instrumentation. A subtle reverb is added to the vocal to contribute to the atmospheric feel of the production. The instigation of the foundational bass and steady percussive beat control the rhythmic intensity of the track as it progresses. The beat systematically drops back to a sole kick-drum (check out 1:11 to 1:25); providing the perfect amount of dynamic diversity with the resultant emphasis being placed on the prominent vocal line.
