ABOUT THE ARTIST
Red Tan is a UK based Filipino artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2019. After losing her husband in 2017, Red Tan remained strong for her only son and managed to continue pursuing her career in music. Although she took a five year hiatus from the industry and was diagnosed with anxiety/depression, Red Tan has a list of accolades to her name; she won two medals at The World Championships of Performing Arts in L.A, performed as a grand finalist in Open Mic UK at the O2 Arena in London, passed the Universal Studios Japan auditions in London, worked with numerous industry names in the US/UK.
To date, Red Tan has three singles in her online discography. All three of the tracks have an enormous stream count with ‘Don’t You Dare!’ amassing almost six hundred and thirty-five thousand streams, ‘Be There For You’, gathering two hundred and three thousand streams, and ‘Don’t Let Go!’ with one hundred and seventy-nine thousand streams. With more than eleven thousand followers on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Red Tan has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans who will be eager to hear her upcoming single.
Choosing to support a good cause, Red Tan’s upcoming release, ‘Toxic’, was written to raise awareness regarding the increase of Domestic Violence that has occurred during the lockdown. To further show her generous support of this noble cause, Red Tan is donating all of the revenue generated from Spotify and Apple streams directly to Women’s Aid to help support women who have been abused.

Our featured single, ‘Toxic’ by Red Tan, is out on the 13th of November and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! ‘Toxic’ was written and recorded with Luke Adams at River Studios and was mastered by the world famous Abbey Road Studios. The single lasts three minutes and seventeen seconds and sits at a steady 110bpm. The track commences with a nine second instrumental introduction that combines subtle percussion with a melodic synth progression; setting the tone for the verse.
Red Tan’s vocal color is emotive and stylistic; seamlessly synchronising with the flow of the instrumental accompaniment. The addition of multiple vocal layers during the chorus provides just the right amount of depth to the overall sound without detracting from the prominence of the main hook. An effected breakdown section from around 2:12 to 2:29 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that the track is engaging from start to finish.
