ABOUT THE ARTIST
Regena Hoye is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2013. The Mississippi born songwriter has always had a natural affinity for lyricism; writing poetry from the time she was a teenager. After taking lessons in flute, piano and music theory, Regena began writing her own original songs.
At the age of seventy-two, she feels “more creative…than ever before” and has decided to release more of her music out into the world. Although Regena Hoye receives creative inspiration from a number of styles and artists, she combines a variety of compositional elements to form her unique sound.
To date, Regena Hoye has one EP in her online discography: ‘Soft Summer Night’, which is available to download now on BandCamp! With a growing number of followers and listeners, there is no denying the fact that Regena Hoye is developing a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured EP, ‘Opposite’ by Regena Hoye, is to be released on the 2nd of April and will be available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The EP consists of five tracks:
‘Hello’, ‘Stop’, ‘Opposite’, ‘Sunday Ride’, and ‘Whose Show’.
“‘Opposite’ has an upbeat tempo to encourage people of all ages to finger-snap and dance. Within the lyrics, there are tones of flirting, tolerance and laughter.”
The title track, ‘Opposite’, sits at 67bpm and lasts around two minutes. The track commences with a six second instrumental introduction that sets the tone for the main vocal line. The spacious compositional style gives the perfect amount of room for the prominent vocal line. The creatively panned instrumental layers amalgamate to form a dynamic and immersive listening experience that will have you hitting that repeat button for another listen the moment this single draws to a close.
