ABOUT THE ARTIST
SKYDIMEX, also known as Kabral Richards, is a Hip-Hop, Dancehall and Bouyon artist who is originally from Roseau, Dominica. SKYDIMEX was first influenced to create his own original music back in 1992 when he visited New York and discovered “his favourite musical playground”: Hip-Hop. Although he was heavily influenced by this genre, SKYDIMEX’s authentic compositional style amalgamates Hip-Hop with Dancehall and Bouyon; forming his own unique sound. His highly anticipated upcoming album, ‘BEEN THRU’, is to be released later this year!
SKYDIMEX has six Single/EP releases, dating back to 2019, on his online discography: ‘Time Wit You’, ‘Some Shit’, ‘Mr. Calm and Mystic’, ‘Fools in the Streets’, ‘Let it Burn’, and ‘Let Me See It’. Some of his most successful tracks to date include the likes of ‘Some Shit’, amassing over one hundred and one thousand streams, ‘Time Wit You’, with almost ninety thousand streams, and ‘Mr. Calm and Mystic’ gaining more than thirty three thousand streams on Spotify alone. With numbers like that, it’s fair to say that SKYDIMEX has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans.

Our featured single, ‘Let Me See It’ by SKYDIMEX, is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The track was written to “represent the Caribbean party side of the album”. The single lasts three minutes and nineteen seconds and sits at a steady 160bpm.
A seventeen second introduction combines a panned synth line with subtle percussive stabs that create a foundation for improvised vocalisations. A drum-fill initiates the verse which features SKYDIMEX’s stylistic and emotive vocal color; seamlessly matching the melodic flow of the instrumentation. Additional vocal layers are added during the chorus to create a depth to the sound that provides dynamic diversification as the track progresses.
Although the main synth line permeates throughout the majority of the single, moments when multiple instrumental layers drop out of the mix allow for an emphasis to be placed on the rhythmic percussion and intense vocal; check out 0:53. The repetition of the main hook line forms a memorable melody that will definitely stick in the mind of anyone who listens to this single.
