ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bec Taylor and the Lyrebirds is a dynamic five-piece alt-country pop band from Canberra, Australia fronted by lead singer Bec Taylor, a multi-talented musician with a seasoned artist in the Australian music scene. Her previous projects, including Fun Machine and Glitoris, have seen her perform at major festivals such as BIGSOUND and Woodford Folk Festival, and share stages with acts like Gotye and The Darkness.
Her current bandmates include Hannah Beasley, Sam McNair, Sophie Chapman, and Grahame Thompson, all talented musicians from various notable acts like PaintonPaint, The Burley Griffin, Brass Knuckle Brass Band, and Mr. Fibby.
The inception of the Lyrebirds came in 2020 after Bec Taylor returned from Nashville, inspired and ready to produce her first solo album, Adrift, alongside producer Louis Montgomery. This album marked the beginning of a new musical journey, blending her alt-pop sensibilities with fresh influences.
Following the success of Adrift, the band released Limbs and All in May 2024. This second album, distributed by Foghorn/MGM, showcases a shift towards a country-folk sound, demonstrating the band’s versatility and depth.
