His father’s group, signed to Elektra Records in the late 70s and managed by Ron Banks of The Dramatics, scored a hit with ‘Why Leave Us Alone’ in 1980, marking the year of Gov’s birth with a significant musical milestone.

Throughout his adolescent years, Big Gov faced the challenge of proving his innate talent.
