Having always had a natural affinity for music, the Bronx born and raised songwriter honed his craft over the years to become the artist that he is today. After he won the Most Original Artist at the Underground Music Awards in 2011, Dolo The Bandit built his reputation on the music scene; inevitably leading to Spike Lee using his track ‘Get Down’ for the film “You’re Nobody til Somebody Kills You”, and Quicksilver using the same track for their Pro New York and France Surfing tour.
In 2010, Dolo The Bandit was targeted during a home invasion and suffered a number of life-threatening injuries to his face and hand which forced him into a hiatus; receiving multiple surgeries over the span of a decade. Even though he was dealing with the mental and physical trauma of the home invasion, Dolo The Bandit still managed to release the album ‘Target Practice’. Having officially returned from his hiatus, Dolo The Bandit has begun the Deals With The Devil saga of his music catalogue; “a series revealing the pains and price of fortunes and fame”. Although he receives inspiration from a number of styles, Dolo The Bandit combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique and authentic sound.
