Our featured Artist of the Week is rising Polish music connoisseur Margarita Berrier! The harpsichord and piano player/Polish music connoisseur is currently established as an incredibly talented representative of Polish music in the USA.

Born in Kyiv, Margarita Berrier (née Pinkosz) is a well-established classical pianist, harpsichordist, and chamber musician. Having always had a natural affinity for music, Margarita began her journey into music at the young age of four at the Lysenko National Music school.

As a talented young child, she went on to pursue further education in music at the K. Szymanowski School of Music in Warsaw, graduating in 2004 at the age of six. Honing her craft over the years, Margarita had her debut performance at the National Filharmonia in Warsaw, where she shared the stage with internationally renowned musicians on various occasions.

Margarita seeks to perform more unknown repertoire from her country, as well as commission harpsichord pieces from Polish composers. She is also passionate about the environment and is looking to connect with like-minded artists who want to combine music performance with sustainability.

Showing natural ability and potential, Margarita inevitably won numerous awards including first prize in two categories in the Int'l Piano Competition in Brest (France). Performing regularly in Poland, European countries, and the United States, Margarita was invited to national and international masterclasses and festivals such as the Fermata, Duszniki Zdrój, Łańcut, Krynica Zdrój, and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana.

 
 

Within this time, she worked closely with critically acclaimed musicians such as Andrzej Jasinski, Elisso Virsaladze, Ewa Poblocka, Jerome Rose, Oxana Yablonskaya, Vera Nossina, and Wiktor Mierzhanov. With her undeniable experience and talent, Margarita was personally invited to Fundusz na Rzecz Dzieci after receiving a significant amount of accreditations and achievements.

 
 

After proving herself within her field, Margarita was accepted into the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the guidance of Evgeni Moguilevsky, and later Daniel Blumenthal. After her acceptance, she went on to receive the second prize in the Int'l Piano Competition in Paris and began gaining a personal interest in Polish music.

Continuing on with her already well-established achievements and success within the music industry, Margarita went on to win first prize in the Grand Metropolitan Int'l Music Competition, first prize in the IMKA Music Competition, and played Cannes festival, recording music for Silentium Dei. She recorded a record with Polish music for the Belgian association under the patronage of European deputy Frederique Ries and played an inaugurating concert for Poland joining European Union in Porto. Margarita was also a musician who graduated in the music studio of the Grammy-nominated Corey Jamason.
