ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ascending the heights of black metal, Gallóglaigh is a compelling duo making waves with their latest single, Croisfheiste an Fheabhraí, now accessible across all major streaming platforms. Gallóglaigh was initially founded by JP as a solo endeavor. Originally devised as a passionate exploration of black metal during his stint writing for another band, the project swiftly evolved beyond a mere side interest.
Despite launching a full-length demo, Sparth, in April 2022, JP’s artistic appetite remained unsatiated, prompting a return to the drawing board to perfect his craft. His inspiration was drawn from the raw power of the second wave of 90s black metal bands, which subsequently led to a significant evolution of Gallóglaigh’s sonic persona.
In September 2022, JP’s dedication and refinement bore fruit with the release of a more mature full-length album, Luaith. What was once a solo project has since expanded, with the addition of session vocalist, Beleth, transforming Gallóglaigh into a formidable duo.
Gallóglaigh currently has eight releases in its Spotify discography. One of its most popular tracks, Horns of the Goat, has already amassed almost sixteen thousand streams on Spotify alone.
