For this album, Jordan York collaborated with music producer Gallo Locknez to create original songs for every pre-game party and tailgate for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins, Pitt Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh’s # 1 Podcast Yinzer Crazy. The album was mastered by JT Schmidlapp from Bassresin Studios. Although ‘Yinzer Crazy’ is set to drop in early 2022, we had the opportunity to check out the first single from the album, ‘Pitt Panthers Fight Song’.
The track lasts around two and a half minutes and sits at 93bpm. The single commences with a thirty-two second introductory section that sets the tone from the outset. The stylistic vocal color flows seamlessly with the dark vibe of the instrumentation. The ominous brass amalgamates with the steady percussion and atmospheric electronic elements to provide the perfect platform for the rap.
The layering of multiple vocal elements adds a depth and creative flair to the overall sound without detracting from the lyrical prominence.
