ABOUT THE ARTIST

Lost Weekend, also known as Michael Berman, is a rising artist who burst onto the streaming scene this year. Having always had a natural affinity for music, the Swedish songwriter honed his craft over the years to become the artist that he is today. Although Lost Weekend receives inspiration from a number of artists such as Black Sabbath, Stone Temple Pilots, Queens Of The Stone Age and Neil Young, he combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique sound. FEATURED RELEASE

Illusion Turns To Dust’ by Lost Weekend is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms!

The single lasts around five minutes, and sits at 71bpm. The track commences with a one minute and nine second introductory section that sets the tone for the vocal line. Michael’s stylistic vocal color flows seamlessly with the melodic instrumentation. The clean vocal effect allows the vocal to sit prominently in the mix without being dominated by the musical element.

The steady percussion combines with the foundational bass and driven electric guitar layers to provide the perfect platform for the vocal. An impressive electric guitar solo from around 3:03 to 3:33 delivers just the right amount of dynamic diversity to ensure that ‘Illusion Turns To Dust’ is engaging from start to finish. By the time this track draws to a close, you’ll find yourself humming along with the catchy hook and in need of hitting that repeat button for another listen.
