The concept of Orbital Rocktronics originated during the recording sessions for the Psycho Ballistic Funk album under the iconic Wall of Sound label. The vision was to pair Rory Hoy’s innovative remixes with the original tracks from the album. Although the Psycho Ballistic Funk album saw its release on Big Fat Mama Beats, Rory Hoy’s remixes remained under wraps, until now.
Orbital Rocktronics Pt 1 showcases Rory Hoy at his remixing pinnacle, delivering fresh, dynamic interpretations of SIR-VERE’s work. The album represents a collaborative effort, where ideas bounced back and forth, evolving into the finished product. Fans can look forward to the continuation of this groundbreaking project, with Orbital Rocktronics Part 2 slated for release later this year.
