ABOUT THE ARTIST
Third Development burst onto the music scene in 2021 with their debut album, The Thought of Tomorrow. This album introduced a captivating fusion of 80s synth and 90s electronica, creating an ethereal experience through its nine tracks. With a mix of instrumental beats and the haunting vocals of Manchester-based @kintsuku, the album explores a range of moods from uplifting to deeply reflective.
Geoffrey James, the visionary behind Third Development, continued to build on this success with two 2021 singles, Shining On and Echoes, featuring the soulful voice of Atlanta’s Mila Sade. The evolution of their sound is evident in their 2022 release, Auras, which brings back Kintsuku and infuses upbeat electronica with a worldly ambiance. This was followed by the 2023 instrumental journey, Shadow Frequencies, both solidifying their place within the self-defined 'Etherea' genre.
In 2024, Third Development released Our Parallel Worlds, an explosive single featuring Canadian vocalist Ali Wick and a stunning opera contribution from Italy’s Francesca Maionchi. Their innovative approach is supported by collaborations with a diverse array of talents, including Grammy-winning mastering engineer Emily Lazar, producer Sara Fedi, flutist Livia Schweizer, and more. The band’s distinctive cosmic album artwork, crafted by Houston-based artist Eden Hurst, enhances their unique artistic identity.
