ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tom Wavra’s musical journey is a testament to a lifelong passion that began with early memories of the Beatles’ iconic influence and solo performances in kindergarten. Inspired by classic rock legends such as Led Zeppelin, Bob Seger, and Pink Floyd, Tom’s musical style reflects a deep-seated admiration for the timeless sounds that have shaped his artistic vision.
Self-taught on guitar from the age of 13, Tom transitioned into professional performances by 23, fueled by his unwavering love for classic rock music. His latest release, Back in the Day, is a culmination of two decades of dedication and perseverance. This labor of love, featuring contributions from a stellar lineup of Twin Cities musicians, was meticulously crafted at Winterland Studios and F5 Sound House between 2014 and 2024.
Tom’s musical journey encountered its share of challenges, including the disruptions of life and the loss of producer and keyboard virtuoso James Walsh of Gypsy. Despite these hurdles, Tom’s commitment to delivering authentic music that resonates from a lifetime of experiences shines through in every lyric and note of Back in the Day.
