ABOUT THE ARTIST
Anamosity, also known as Darrick Oyer-Weir, is a well established artist who burst onto the streaming scene in 2017. Having always had a natural affinity for music, the Seattle born songwriter honed his craft over the years to become the artist that he is today. After being released from a fifteen month incarceration stint, Anamosity went on to become the hype man for Alan "Sarkastik" Wright, who he met whilst incarcerated, under Street Level Records and Wiseworks Management.
Anamosity later teamed up with Flatline, aka Tony Mafia from Chicago's group Dinner Thieves in 2005, releasing their Dark Street EP. In 2010, Anamosity started his own label, Heavy Grind Entertainment, alongside a clothing line called Heavy Grind Apparel. Although he receives inspiration from a number of styles, Anamosity combines a variety of compositional elements to form his unique and authentic sound.
To date, Anamosity has three albums and sixteen singles/EPs in his online discography. Some of his most popular releases include the likes of ‘Tunnel Vision’, amassed almost half a million streams, and ‘I Mean It’, gathering over three hundred and twenty-six thousand streams on Spotify. With more than twenty-six thousand regular monthly listeners on Spotify alone, there is no denying the fact that Anamosity has developed a dedicated following of loyal fans who will be eager to hear his upcoming album.
