After the successful launch of her single, Naomi held a charity streaming show on the 26h of September and the 3rd of October to support children. More than twenty-thousand people tuned in to the live stream and supported her. In the charity event, Naomi collaborated with the well known a cappella band The continues who won an impressive a cappella championship on Japanese TV. You can check out the official video of the performance by clicking here! In collaboration with talented young artists, the Save The Kids project has achieved cross-generational support and has been highly acclaimed.

Naomi has always had a passion for charity work; although she was in very ill health around the time of the 2011 Japanese tsunami disaster, the talented songwriter overcame her condition and “resumed her activities with renewed vigour” after seeing what the Japanese people suffered. She went on to release a double A-side charity single, giving all the proceeds to the disaster area, and also wrote the song ‘Home’ with the disaster victims; giving those effected an opportunity to express their feelings to the world.

Naomi has organised charity gigs with the support of fellow musicians from Japan with a particular concern for the welfare of “the scores of orphans and disadvantaged children left behind by the disaster”. Naomi helped organise the fifth Japan Earthquake Memorial Concert at the Islington Assembly Hall London in 2016 where she also performed. After the successful fundraiser, Naomi toured Japan and donated all of the profits from ticket sales directly to the cause. The story was covered by a number of a major newspapers in Japan and was reported on NHK TV.

Naomi Suzuki became affiliated with the Save The Kids Project who are organising an online fundraiser event in support of children’s charities around the world. All of the profits made from their upcoming event are going to Children’s Dining Room, who combat child hunger, and Your Action, who help organise and facilitate sporting/leisure activities for children in need. The event takes place in three parts: “a conversation with special guests, a musical performance of nostalgic J-pop, and a magic show” (the event will be held in Japanese). The first part of the event will feature a panel discussion with a number of Japanese professionals, including Japan’s leading film director, a theatre producer, a former member of the Japanese national football team and an international journalist. The diverse group will be tackling the subject of: “What can I do now to help during the pandemic?”.
